EMDR therapy is an evidence-based psychological treatment intervention. It is designed to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and alleviate the distress of traumatic memories. EMDR therapy can help with accessing and processing traumatic memories as well as other adverse life events.

Over 30 controlled outcome studies have been conducted on EMDR.  The results of these studies show that 84%-90% of single-trauma survivors no longer experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after only three 90-minute sessions.

EMDR is an eight-phase treatment. More detailed information about the treatment phases is available here.

We are now pleased to be able to offer our clients EMDR with our psychologist Stephanie. Stephanie has extensive training and experience working with clients who have experienced trauma. Stephanie is also trained to offer EMDR via Telehealth.
